The Ladybower Villages

Each of these villages is named, at least in part, after one of the two principal rivers that feed Ladybower Reservoir. The Derwent now flows into the reservoir from the north; the Ashop flows down the eastern side of the Snake Pass, and used to join the Derwent at Ashopton. The remains of both villages are near where the Derwent now flows into the reservoir.
